Feeling tired and down? These are a few of my favourite options to help boost your mood:
1. Get some sunshine or Vitamin D: being outside in nature and sunlight helps to boost our moods and increases the “happy hormone” Vitamin D.
2. Move your body: Find something you enjoy that gets you moving. Anything from dancing in your room to yoga. Mental health benefits are feeling more energetic, calm, increased self-esteem and better concentration.
3. Focus on positive events: Build in activities or events into your day that you enjoy! Cook a favourite meal, spend time with people you enjoy, read, draw, watch a favourite movie/show. The list can go on and on!
4. 3 good things: Write out 3 things from your day that you liked. In doing this you are helping to train your brain to notice good things and not only focus on negative situations or events.
