
My Approach
Need an experienced caring professional to support you through life's challenges? My name is Brittany and I want to work with you in achieving your goal to make life better. I work with diverse clients including children, teens and adults. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, family and relationship dynamics and navigating through life transitions. Therapy sessions are collaborative, meaning I work with clients to figure out helpful and practical strategies that are tailored to their goals. My goal is to work with you to build on your current strengths and resilience to help you navigate life's challenges.

For my own mental health practice, I believe in utilizing communication and expression through talk therapy, creative arts including music, art and physical movement to experience calming and self-soothing through nature. I integrate these methods into my work with clients to provide a holistic approach to experiencing therapy and improving mental, emotional and physical well-being.

My Experience
I have a Masters in Clinical Counselling and am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. My experience includes working in residential treatment facilities, rehabilitation facilities, children and youth mental health agencies and in private practice. I currently teach as a part-time Professor at Georgian college in their Addictions Treatment and Prevention program. I am passionate about working with diverse clients including children, teens and adults. I have specialized training in Theraplay, Play Therapy and certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am currently a member with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals.

I use a combination of counselling theories and techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Theraplay, Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems and Attachment Theory. My purpose is to provide an approach that meets your individual wants and needs. Our work will prioritize building your trust and resiliency in a safe environment.
